Springtide?!

I've not posted in about a week, because I've been away, and whilst I was away a massive spring tide hit the coastal towns of the Western and Eastern Cape. Hout Bay was also affected, albeit not as badly as some other regions. I cautiously swam this morning - a little bit of dip in and out rather than a swim, and there was a still a lot of energy in the waves.

Even though there were tons of kelp on the beach, the water was clear.
