Sandblasted...

'It is a serious thing, just to be alive, on this fresh morning, in this broken world'

- Mary Oliver

I must be honest I did not feel it this morning and it took a lot of willpower to go into the water. I am still feeling gloomy after finishing Andre De Ruyter's book this weekend. But at least the cold water and sheer beauty never seizes to lift the mood.

Once in the water there was very little time for reflection or rumination...the waves were pretty big, the wind were blowing and we were thoroughly sandblasted when I got out.

Here is a pic...and you can see the storm brewing... (in more ways than one)

I am also adding 2 pics from Friday morning - the waves seems deceivingly small in the picture, but it was also a stormy morning

On our way in at 7am Friday

At about 7:30 on Friday, notice the big tree branch that washed out on the right side of the picture.
