Mood: moody

Always a new tide coming in, and an old tide leaving on a new journey. I feel like the ocean remembers the touch of every place it has been to and washes our skin with it, takes part of us with it when it goes.”

― Tamara Rendell, Realm of the Stag King

The sea was moody this morning, it must've picked it up from the general feeling in Hout Bay this weekend, there was a tension simmering under the surface.

The waves felt unpredictable, some were big, some were tiny, at the times there was a pull. And even though I thought I'm standing in the same spot, I would be immersed up to my shoulders and then next second the water would hardly make it to my knees. Moody, misty and yet still beautiful.
