Flat like a pancake
Even though it has been Spring, and the water has been flat like a pancake, there has not been much happening with the Swimrisers. Most mornings we've been one or two people in the water. I suppose the car jamming has put a damper on swimming, and water has been cold, and there is concerns regarding the seals - there has been a warning about Rabies. So here is a pic, hopefully to lure you back :-) and a poem (compliments of CHATGPT)
Rabies
A shadow falls on the bright spring day.
Once gentle eyes now wild and wide,
A sickness stirs in the shifting tide.
Rabies rides the ocean breeze,
Turning calm to restless seas.
A playful seal, now filled with fear,
A danger lurks when it swims too near.
But nature's way, though strange and grim,
Shall heal the waves where they once swim.
For now, beware the water’s gleam,
And seals that haunt the sailor’s dream.
