My break from swimming in Hout Bay has been longer than anticipated, but I am back! Mauritius was absolutely amazing - but not quite the lying on the beach all day and sunbathing. Rather it was being stuck in my room because there is a cyclone...and what do you do if there's no television reception and nothing to do in your room? You rest...you reflect and you recharge. I am grateful that I had this opportunity to do exactly that as opposed to snorkeling, supping and adventuring.

Sometimes we don't know what we need, I needed rest more than I needed activity. So it was a great holiday.

But back to Hout Bay...it was super windy yesterday, and as anticipated today was super cold..12.4 degrees Celsius, but it was flat and it was nice to be back in 'colder' water!
